2017 Goals

A lot of my goals for 2017 involve consistency.

1. Eat a 100% vegan diet. But more than that, don't eat as many vegan substitutes. At the minute I'm down to about 98% vegan but a lot of that is fake alternatives which are probably filled with loads of hideous chemicals. I want  to get back to where I was at the end of 2015 where my diet was more balanced.

2. Save save save! I'm doing Trek America in early 2018, which seems a long way away but I only work part time and I'm paying for both myself and my sister to go. I've decided to do a version of the Dave Ramsey system so I'm more conscious of every penny I'm spending and so hopefully not wasting.

3. Run more. I was doing pretty well in Summer but I fell out of the routine and I haven't managed to get back into it. I am so out of shape that it's making me miserable so I really need to do something about it.

4. Post more on my blog. I have been appalling this year, I don't even want to check the stats. I'm determined to get back into it this year though. I've spent the last couple of weeks working on posts so I start the year off the way I intend to go on. The current schedule I'm working with is Sunday and Wednesday.

5. Keep a log of things that made me smile. I'm one of those people who go from 100-0 super quickly and sometimes it's difficult to get out of those funks. I'm going to start writing down all of the things that made me laugh or smile, even if they seem ridiculous so I can look back at the them and hopefully cheer up.

6. Be more active in twitter chats.
*I forget they're on.
*I don't get involved if there's a topic I don't think I can contribute to, despite the fact I could be learning a lot.
*I get distracted.
*I can't keep up.
I need to just write a schedule and set some reminder alarms.

7. Shop in more charity shops. I literally wear the same two outfits so clothes shopping isn't something I spend a lot of money on. But it's definitely something I could spend even less money on. I say this all the time but I really need to start going into more charity shops.

8. Only buy cruelty free beauty. I'm going to use up everything I already have but I'm going to make sure any products I buy from now on are from cruelty free brands.

I have tried to set myself goals that I know I can actually stick to. Whether the running thing happens before Spring remains to be seen but I can always substitute that with Youtube fitness videos in the mean time.

What goals are you setting for yourself for 2017?
